Hey y’all👋 I’m Owen, and for those of you who don’t know, I’m the OG behind OG Media.

A little about me: I’m a part-time baker🎂 and full-time doughnut connoisseur🍩

When I’m not baking, cooking, or eating, you can find me out on the baseball field coaching or on the sideline of a high school football game spreading the news about the tremendous student-athletes we have in Loudoun County. With the help of my brother, encouragement of my mom, and support of a whole lot of young media professionals, we grew LoCoSports🦉 into the premier news site for high school athletics in all of Northern Virginia. We exploded on social media, always giving our community what it wanted: great stories told in a fair and timely fashion. (People always ask how we grew LoCoSports so rapidly and in such a community-driven way and the answer is easy: content is king.)

Through LoCoSports I found my passion for both social media and web design. About two years into our journey with LoCoSports, I realized we needed to step up our website game and create something our community would be proud of and trust as their source of high school sports news. Being the Owl-in-Chief (and working with a super small budget), I took it upon myself to learn WordPress design and designed my first website (very similar to the LoCoSports you see today).

My knack for web design caught on from there, leading to the soft launch of OG Media in 2016.

After years of late hours, long weekends, and missed opportunities, I’m jumping in head first. No more excuses, no more safety net.

As of today, June 29, 2020, I’m taking OG Media full time.

Now, more than ever, I want to say thank you to all my supporters (and haters); my mentors; my current, past, and future clients; my family; and my friends for believing in me, listening to me, and giving me the opportunity to chase my dream. Without each and everyone of you, none of this would be possible.
